POPULAR QUESTIONS

• How does the overall process work?

We make the overall hiring & cleaning process as simple as possible, while adjusting to what works best for you. The entire process is as follows:

  • Complete an estimate
  • Schedule a time for in-person consultation & dedicated cleaner introduction
  • We clean your space (either same-day or other scheduled time)
  • You receive an automated invoice and quality checklist
  • You receive a personal follow-up with our management

• What's the difference between a deep cleaning & standard cleaning?

Deep cleaning goes above and beyond when disinfecting and sanitizing surfaces, and reaching all the tough places in your home. Also includes the complete cleaning of all kitchen appliances and the inside of cabinets.

• How long does a cleaning usually take?

It varies according to the size of your space, but on average you can expect the deep cleaning service to take 4-5 hours.

• How often should I schedule cleaning services?

We recommend at least one deep clean per year, and after any seasonal cold or flu illnesses.

• Do I have to talk to a person when scheduling a service?

While you can certainly progress through the entire cleaning process without direct contact, it is usually best to meet your dedicated cleaning professional at least once during initial hiring. This way, we can personalize our service a bit more for you. After all, we believe residential cleaning is inherently personal and value knowing our customers personally.

• Do I have to be home during the cleaning?

No, however we always like our work to be signed off before leaving. Otherwise, we ask that you approve of your cleaning on your invoice/client hub.

• What if I'm not satisfied with the cleaning?

Let us know within 24 hours, and we will immediately return to correct any issues. We ensure that we progress through a documented 50-point quality checklist before leaving to avoid this issue if at all possible.

• What happens if something is broken during the cleaning?

We are fully insured and bonded, and with photo/video evidence we will ensure that any mistake is made whole. Documenting our before/after photos in our client hub help prevent challenges in this area.

• Can I request any specific tasks or unique areas to be cleaned?

Absolutely! Make sure to add any special request as complete as possible during the estimate process, and we will confirm on initial visit.

• How do you ensure quality of your cleaning?

Through our internal workflows, we make sure that a quality checklist is completed and documented before being able to complete the service and generate an invoice. Quality management is an integral part of our company success.

• Are your cleaners insured?

Yes, all CR Total Cleaning staff are insured with General Liability Insurance.

• Can I schedule the same cleaner every time?

Absolutely! You will be assigned a dedicated cleaning professional for recurring cleaning services. We view this as an important aspect of our personalized service, want you to feel comfortable with your cleaner, and know them personally.

• Do you bring your own supplies and equipment?

Yes, we bring all supplies and equipment necessary.

• Can I cancel or reschedule my cleaning appointment?

You may cancel or adjust your booking without a fee as long as it’s 48 hours prior to the service.

• How do you handle keys and alarm systems?

We’re flexible with how we handle keys and alarm systems. Just let us know what you prefer.

• How do I pay for the service?

When completing a booking, we’ll ask that you enter your card information and use this information to charge after the service is completed. Also, we offer alternative payment options including Venmo, Cash, Zelle, and others. We can work this out during your initial consultation.

• Do you conduct background checks on your cleaners?

Yes, all cleaners must pass criminal background checks in order to work with us.

• Do you use on-demand cleaners?

No! While the trend of ‘drop-cleaning’, i.e. using a 10-99 contractor as a cleaner is increasing in the cleaning industry, all of our employees are full-time, W-2 staff members. This way, we are able to ensure consistency in our services and make sure all of our cleaners are appropriately trained.
